Blacklist

Blacklist

This feature enables you to upload a list of users you prefer not to contact. Even if these users are included in a search uploaded to Trueleads or added to a campaign, the system will refrain from sending automated tasks to their profiles, effectively pausing those leads. To remove them from the blacklist, you must manually resume them in the campaign.

To access the blacklist option, go to Profile Settings from the dashboard and click on the Blacklist option.

In the Blacklist section, you'll find two options for adding a blacklist to the account: either manually upload a blacklist by clicking the 'Add blacklist' button, or upload it via a CSV file by selecting 'Upload CSV'

You have the flexibility to blacklist the following:
  • Names
  • Company names
  • Job titles
  • Profile links
  • Emails

For instance, if you blacklist 'John Smith,' any individuals matching this name in your search will not be assigned to a campaign. Similarly, if you blacklist the company 'Google' and a user currently works at Google on LinkedIn, they will be excluded from campaign assignments.

It's important to note that you can choose from four types of fields when blacklisting: Exact match (specifying complete words to avoid), Contains (writing a specific word to avoid people or companies containing that word in their name), Starts with, and Ends with.

To manually upload a list, please follow the steps below:
1. Click the button labelled 'Add blacklist'

2. Choose the Blacklist type and Comparison type from the dropdown menu.

3. (Skip this step if you are adding a new blacklist.) You will also notice a 'Clear' toggle; use this if you want to delete the previously added blacklist. If you wish to clear the previously added blacklist based on the selected blacklist type (e.g., profile link) and comparison type (e.g., exact), turn on the 'Clear' option. In this case, the Keywords section should be left empty. When you save the changes, all previously uploaded exact-match profile links will be removed from the blacklist section.

4. Enter the Keywords in the text box (e.g., profile links), separating them with commas.

5. Finally, click the 'Save Changes' button.

6. Once completed, the added profile link will appear in the blacklist.

If you prefer to upload a blacklist using a CSV file, please follow these steps:

1. Click the "Upload CSV" button.

2. Choose the desired Comparison type.

3. (Skip this step if adding a new blacklist) Use the Clear toggle if you want to delete the existing blacklist. To do this, select the comparison type, enable the clear toggle, upload a CSV file containing the blacklist to be removed, and click "Send CSV for processing".

4. Click on "Browse Files" to select the CSV file you want to use.

5. Select the CSV file from your device for the blacklist.

6. Map only one chosen field to the correct column (e.g., profile link) and skip all other columns.

7. Once completed, scroll down and click "Send CSV for processing". After processing, blacklisted profile links will appear on your blacklist page.

Above the blacklist field, you can filter it based on three criteria: filter words, blacklist type, and comparison type.

Furthermore, you have the option to remove a particular profile link from the blacklist, such as by clicking on the Delete icon next to it.
