To enhance account security, starting May 30, 2022, Google will cease supporting third-party apps or devices that require signing in to your Google Account solely with your username and password.

Currently, the connection of systems with Google Mail often involves the use of "Less secure apps." However, as of May 30, 2022, this option will no longer be viable. To continue integrating your email in Trueleads, please follow these steps:

Google Setup To ensure proper service usage without relying on "Less secure apps," a series of activation steps is necessary. The initial step involves enabling 2-Step verification on the Google account intended for use.

Navigate to the "Manage your Google Account" section

Enter "2-step verification" in the search bar and select the first option, as illustrated in the image below

Follow the instructions presented on the subsequent screen

Upon successful completion of the steps, the following screen should be visible

Click the "←" button next to the 2-Step Verification title.

In the search bar, input "app passwords" and select the first option, as depicted in the image below:

Enter "Trueleads" and click on "Create."

Copy the generated password:

Once the Google Setup is finished, and the app password has been generated, it's essential to update the password within Trueleads.

To ensure the continued functionality of the email following Google's modifications, replace the old password in Trueleads with the newly generated one.

Navigate to Trueleads, access the profile settings, proceed to the email integration section, and disconnect your email by selecting the disconnect button (if it was previously connected). If it wasn't connected to Trueleads before, simply click "Connect" and choose Gmail.

Subsequently, reconnect it using the previously generated password. Kindly adhere to the instructions provided to complete the settings below:

• Sender name: add your name

• IMAP username: add your Gmail address

• IMAP password: add the password that was generated

• IMAP server: imap.gmail.com

• IMAP port (SSL): 993

• SMTP username: add Gmail address

• SMTP password: add the password that was generated

• SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com

• SMTP port (SSL): 465

After completing the form, ensure to click on "Test Credentials" first and then proceed to click "Connect."
