Outlook Email Integration | Modern Authentication

If you desire to link your Outlook email with Trueleads for the purpose of initiating automated email outreach, you can achieve this by adhering to the provided instructions.

The process of integrating Outlook emails has undergone a change due to Outlook's adoption of modern authentication in place of the traditional basic authentication. To elaborate further, Basic Authentication represents an older method of password exchange for Microsoft platforms and is considered less secure. It is now being phased out in favour of Microsoft's implementation of Modern Authentication (OAuth), which is a more recent and secure authentication mechanism for Microsoft platforms. Consequently, there are specific steps to be followed to seamlessly integrate your Outlook email address with Trueleads.

To commence the email integration, navigate to your Profile settings from the main dashboard. Within the settings menu on the left, locate the Email integration option. Click on it, and then choose Connect from the top-right corner:





Select Outlook from the pop-up window



Proceed to your Outlook account and verify that the settings in the 'sync email' section align with those depicted in the screenshot below:


After modifying the settings in Outlook, return to Trueleads and input the required information as outlined in the provided screenshot:




Subsequently, click on "Test Credentials," followed by "Connect," and your email will be seamlessly integrated into Trueleads.

Please note that Outlook integration is exclusively feasible with personal Outlook accounts; company or organizational accounts will not be compatible.
